KASHYAP: impulse frequency descaler
After the Kashyap descalers were installed for a few months; the scale in the cooling tower, tube heat exchanger and the pipes become soft allowing our maintenance staff to easily remove the scale with a finger.Installed models:
4 x K-2504 x K-100
2 x K-50
The purpose of installing the Kashyap mineral descaling technology was to prevent scaling on equipment, reduce heat exchanger effectiveness loss, and to lower the general cleaning and maintenance cost of the plate heat exchanger.
After the Kashyap descalers were installed for a few months; the scale in the cooling tower, tube heat exchanger and the pipes become soft allowing our maintenance staff to easily remove the scale with a finger.

Plate Heat Exchanger:
After Kashyap was installed for 4 months : the PHE was taken apart for cleaning.
The scale on the PHE become soft.
The scale can be easily removed.
Cooling Tower (R):
Before Kashyap was installed: The fills of cooling tower.
After Kashyap was installed for 4 months, the scale can be removed easily with a finger.
After Kashyap was installed: Cooling tower’s water circulation cycle has increased because fills and pipes was cleaned.
By 20th May, about a month after installation, the green alge had almost completely disappeared from the surfaces in contact with the treated water. The old scale previously observed had fallen off in most places. The cooling tower flute surface area covered with scale deposits had been decreased by over 70%.
We are very happy about continued improvement with this application. In addition to these observations, water quality measurements were also obtained from each cooling tower and are summarized in the following charts.
The Kashyap does not change the water quality beyond its affect on its propensity to cause scale build up. As illustrated below, the PH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen level, and turbidity remained relatively constant during observation from before the installation to over a month after.
